Meet The Team: Brock and Brent Holderbaum

This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on two members of our fabrication department who might not always be in the spotlight, but whose work certainly is. Meet Brock and Brent Holderbaum, the quiet yet highly skilled duo whose craftsmanship speaks volumes. While the Holderbaum family has five members working across our facility, Brock and Brent often fly under the radar. Despite their reserved nature, their exceptional attention to detail and dedication to high-quality work make them crucial parts of our team. Let’s take a closer look at the brothers who continue to shape our success, one project at a time.

Both Brent and Brock were athletes throughout their time at Chestnut Ridge High School, playing multiple sports and trying their best to be engaged in the classroom. However, like many young adults, they were unsure of what direction to take after graduation. It wasn’t until they were given an opportunity at MCS that they found their path. With little experience or formal training, both brothers credit the company for taking a chance on them straight out of high school. The hands-on learning and mentorship they received early on allowed them to grow into the skilled professionals they are today, and they’re grateful for the opportunity to build their careers at MCS.

“We never really thought about careers after high school, looking back maybe we should’ve cared more” says Brent. “Honestly, we are thankful to be here so there’s no point in looking back,” says Brock.

As identical twins, Brent and Brock can be a bit of a challenge to tell apart, especially to those who aren’t familiar with them. They share many similarities, including a passion for cars, which has been a longstanding interest for both of them. However, the biggest difference between the two might just be their taste in vehicles. While both appreciate the craftsmanship and engineering behind cars, Brent leans more toward basic models with performance appeal, while Brock tends to favor modern, imported super cars. Despite their different preferences, their shared enthusiasm for all things automotive brings them together, adding another layer to their close bond. Their passion for cars also drives their strong work ethic. At just twenty years old, they are already at a different stage in life than most of their peers, working hard every day to earn the money that fuels their love for cars. For Brent and Brock, much of their earnings go toward their current vehicles, whether it’s for upgrades, maintenance, or new parts, pushing them to give their best at work and to continue building their dream cars.

When asked what they liked most about their jobs, without hesitation, they mentioned the people.

“The people make the place. We have a great group in the fabrication department and we literally work with our family. Some people might not like that but we really enjoy it” echoed The Twins.

Looking ahead, Brent and Brock each have their own unique plans for the future. Brent sees himself staying with MCS long-term, where he hopes to grow into a leadership role, possibly becoming a lead in the fabrication department one day. However, he prefers not to think too far ahead and instead focuses on doing his best each day to further his skills and contribute to the team. On the other hand, Brock is preparing for an exciting new chapter as he heads off to medical school with plans to pursue a career as a pediatric nurse. While both brothers share a strong work ethic, their paths are beginning to diverge as Brock follows his passion for healthcare, while Brent continues to build his future in the world of fabrication.

We want to extend a huge thank you to Brent and Brock for their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes. MCS is proud to have them as part of our team, and we will continue to support them in whatever path they choose. No matter where the future takes them, we know that their determination will guide them to success.

Thank you, Brent and Brock, for all that you do!
